Create Your Own
So what is glass fusing? Essentially glass fusing is a process of layering different pieces of glass, and bonding them by using heat. In this case, a kiln. The heat from the kiln softens the glass encouraging it to laminate, and importantly soften the sharp edges of the cut glass pieces. Many different types of glass are used in fusing from beautifully colorful, steaky, transparent, and opaque fusible stained glass, to shimmering, magical dichroic glass. Depending on the project you will have an opportunity to explore these different types of glass, creating your own unique glass piece! Let’s make something together!

February Fused Glass Heart Pendants
Cost $35 (shipping, mounting, and a black satin jewelry cord included)
Create your own unique fused glass heart using a precut black heart cut out. Artists will be able to embellish their heart pendants with a variety of dichroic glass and fusible stained glass. After settling on a design to be fused, you will glue your design in place for the Artist to fuse for you. All pieces will be fused to a “tack fuse” which occurs around 1400 degrees resulting in a finished piece that will soften sharp edges and bond the glass together, but will still have a lot of texture. Following the fuse, the Artist will finish your pendant with a sterling silver plated jewelry bail and an 18 inch black satin cord.
